Orientation Programme for First PUC students and their parents

Dated: 27.05.2026

“Values and Humanity Are the True Ornaments of Students” – Dr. Murali S., Principal, Maharaja Institute of Technology

People who serve society, achievers, and individuals with exemplary character should be role models for students, rather than only film stars. Along with education, values and culture are the lifeblood of a meaningful life. No matter how successful a person becomes, they should never forget their roots, said Dr. Murali S., Principal of the Maharaja Institute of Technology, who attended as the Chief Guest at the Orientation Programme organized for newly admitted First PUC students and their parents at Harividyalaya Composite Pre-University College.

In his inaugural address, he stated that while parents should be friendly with their children, they must also keep a constant watch over them. “You can trust your children, but not their age,” he remarked. He emphasized the need for proper guidance for today’s youth and called upon everyone to uphold humanity beyond the boundaries of caste, religion, nationality, and language. He urged students to become responsible citizens and contribute positively to society.

Later, Academic Director Prof. Sathyan interacted with the students and parents, speaking about the importance of education, discipline, punctuality, and the need to have clear goals in life. He explained that in today’s competitive world, textbook knowledge alone is not sufficient; a good personality, strong values, and self-confidence are equally important. During the interaction session, he answered every question from students and parents in a simple and clear manner, inspiring confidence among the students.

The programme was attended by Mr. Srinivasa Hosamane, President of Harividyalaya Institution; Mr. H.R. Bhagavan, Secretary; and Mr. Brijesh Patel, Dean of the College. Newly admitted students, parents, faculty members, and staff were also present on the occasion.

The programme concluded successfully.
