Celebration of World Environment Day 2026

“Students should actively participate in afforestation activities with the support of their parents.”— Smt. Lalithamma, senior resident of Railway Layout, Bogadi

Smt. Lalithamma emphasized that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect and preserve the environment by standing against activities that harm nature. She addressed the gathering during the World Environment Day Celebration 2026 organized by Hari Vidyalaya, Bogadi, Mysuru, on 5 June 2026.

Hari Vidyalaya celebrated Environment Day in a unique and meaningful manner by undertaking a park-cleaning and de-weeding drive at a park in Bogadi, which is widely used by local residents, especially women, for their evening walks.

The programme commenced with the morning assembly, during which students delivered speeches highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living. As a symbolic gesture of respect for nature, the school conducted a special worship of various plants, with particular emphasis on the sacred Tulsi plant.

Students enthusiastically participated in a Drawing and Painting Competition organized on the school premises as part of the Environment Day celebrations. They also took part in a procession to the park, spreading awareness about the need to protect and nurture the environment.

The event was graced by Sri H. R. Bhagavan, Secretary and Principal of the institution, along with Sri V. Ganesh, Principal, Sri Srikanth D. N., Co-Principal, members of the teaching staff, and students. Their active participation made the celebration a memorable and inspiring occasion, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility among young learners.

Orientation Programme for First PUC students and their parents

Dated: 27.05.2026

“Values and Humanity Are the True Ornaments of Students” – Dr. Murali S., Principal, Maharaja Institute of Technology

People who serve society, achievers, and individuals with exemplary character should be role models for students, rather than only film stars. Along with education, values and culture are the lifeblood of a meaningful life. No matter how successful a person becomes, they should never forget their roots, said Dr. Murali S., Principal of the Maharaja Institute of Technology, who attended as the Chief Guest at the Orientation Programme organized for newly admitted First PUC students and their parents at Harividyalaya Composite Pre-University College.

In his inaugural address, he stated that while parents should be friendly with their children, they must also keep a constant watch over them. “You can trust your children, but not their age,” he remarked. He emphasized the need for proper guidance for today’s youth and called upon everyone to uphold humanity beyond the boundaries of caste, religion, nationality, and language. He urged students to become responsible citizens and contribute positively to society.

Later, Academic Director Prof. Sathyan interacted with the students and parents, speaking about the importance of education, discipline, punctuality, and the need to have clear goals in life. He explained that in today’s competitive world, textbook knowledge alone is not sufficient; a good personality, strong values, and self-confidence are equally important. During the interaction session, he answered every question from students and parents in a simple and clear manner, inspiring confidence among the students.

The programme was attended by Mr. Srinivasa Hosamane, President of Harividyalaya Institution; Mr. H.R. Bhagavan, Secretary; and Mr. Brijesh Patel, Dean of the College. Newly admitted students, parents, faculty members, and staff were also present on the occasion.

The programme concluded successfully.
