Our
students of Classes IX and X, had visited Defence Food and Research
Laboratory (DFRL), Mysuru on 11th
May 2016, on account of its
Open Day. DFRL celebrates it's Open Day every year on 11th
May, as that day is annouced as “National Technology Day”.
Our
students were briefed about the values of food products which DFRL is
supplying to all armed forces. It was an exposure for our students to
learn about ensuring microbiological safety, shelf life stability,
nutritive values, food packing, food analysis and quality control of
the food products.
DFRL
is backing our soldiers by providing nutritious food to the
protectors of our country to stay physically fit with the sound mind
and sound body.
In
the due course of time with the use of latest technology and
scientific methods, let us hope these valuable food products will
reach the public in more quantities which is very useful and
healthy.
