HARI BALAJAGATH 2019


Children today are neglecting physical activities and sports while getting addicted to the computer and the mobile, opined Dr. Vijayendra, Principal scientist, CFTRI. He gave statistics revealed by the World Health Organisation, which recommends 60 minutes of physical activity for children per day. Sports and games are very important for the physical and intellectual growth of an individual, especially children, and it is indeed a disturbing trend that latest electronic gadgets are making children neglect sports and games completely. Further, he said that people have forgotten the importance of walking. Parents should take the initiative to keep their children healthy and fit by physical activities, and here Hari Vidyalaya is doing a commendable job by organising such sports events for little children.
       He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating  “Hari Balajagath” a sports meet for children of Pre Kg, LKG and UKG hosted by hari Vidyalaya, Bogadi, Mysore. Prof K.V.Satyan, Director, Hari Vidyalaya, Sri Srinivas Hosamane, Secretary, Sri N.Srivatsa, Principal, Smt Purnima Sridhara, HM, High school section and Smt Lakshmi, HM, Primary section were present. Smt Purnima Sridhara presented a report about the sports meets conducted during this academic year.
      The following games were conducted for the children; For Pre KG : Ball in the bucket and Bomb in the city, for LKG : Zig Zag race and Toys race, for UKG : Hoops race and passing the ball.
        A gold medal will be presented to the winner of the first prize, a silver medal to the child who bags the second place, and a bronze medal to the child who bags the third place. Plus, a Lunch bag will be gifted to all the participants.
