Our college (I & II Year) students
visited Agasthya Herbal garden, JLB road, Mysuru on
06.06.2019. They were guided by Dr. Sudha M N.
Dr.
Sudha shared few tips about health and hygiene. She also stressed upon World Environment Day 2019 theme,
slogan, “Beat Air Pollution”.
Importance of plants and its role in bringing down the environmental issues was
highlighted. Our Students enjoyed and felt wonder on knowing the herbal plants
and its importance. One of the students shared, “We went to herbal Garden where
we saw normal available herbal plants also the plants which are grown in
northern and southern India. The “kalamegha”
plant was inspired all of us which is used for the treatment of diseases of the
liver and skin. Students expressed heartfelt thanks to the college and
management for arranging the visit to herbal garden.
After
the visit, students participated in collage making contest in the college
premises regarding Environment Day.
