Celebration of Independence Day

          He fought in three great wars, representing the Indian air force. He shared with the audience his experiences, especially in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, and mentioned about the skills and expertise used by the Indian air force while combating the enemy armies. He also mentioned that the Government of India recognised him as a war Hero in the year 1980 when he retired from the Indian air force. He called upon the students and parents to consider a career in defences, as it has got many advantages compared to the conventional college education. Yoga is also a most important tool in leading a healthy and happy life, opined Flying officer A.Nagarajan.
         Sri Nagarajan was addressing the gathering as the chief guest at the Independence day celebrations of Hari Vidyalaya, Bogadi, Mysore.
The chief guest was welcomed with a guard of honour by the high school students followed by an attractive March Past. The chief guest hoisted the National flag.
          Master Bhuvan of class 5 rendered the Invocation on his mandolin. Sri Sandeep, Kannada teacher welcomed the gathering. Sri Rajesh Rajagopal, English teacher introduced the chief guest. The chief guest was felicitated by Sri Srinivas Hosamane, secretary, Hari Vidyalaya.Sri Bhagawan addressed the gathering.
Students from LKG to PUC performed a variety of cultural programmes, such as group song, dance, drama, dumbbells exercise etc. Students also gave speeches in English and Sanskrit. These were followed by an Interhouse dance competition in which all the four houses, namely, Charity, Honesty, Integrity and Punctuality participated.
      Prof K.V.Satyan, Director, Hari Vidyalaya, delivered the Presidential address. Sri Ankaraju, Librarian, proposed the Vote of thanks.
