Major Dhyanchand, the legendary hockey player of India, was born on 29th August 1905, and his birthday is celebrated as “ National sports day” all over India. Hari Vidyalaya, Bogadi, Mysore, celebrated the occasion with an Rohith Memorial Inter school Kho-Kho Tournament for CBSE and ICSE schools.
Sri Prakash, President, Mysore District Amatur Kho-Kho association, was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the tournament. He appreciated the efforts of the Hari Vidyalaya team in organising the Kho-Kho tournament. Prof K.V. Satyan, Director, Hari Vidyalaya and National athlete Brinda .K . Gowda were the special invitees.
20 teams from various CBSE and ICSE school of Mysore district participated.
The winners of the boys section are:- 1st Prize: Hari Vidyalaya, 2nd Prize: VVSBM Sri, 3rd Prize: Supreme Public School. Rolling Trophy: Hari Vidyalaya.
The winners of the Girls Section are:- 1st Prize : VVSBM Sri, 2nd Prize: Hari Vidyalaya, 3rd Prize: S.V.E.I. Rolling Trophy: VVSBM Sri.
The Rohith Memorial Inter School Tournament was organized by Hari Vidyalaya for the first time and a Rolling Trophy was awarded for the first time.
