WORLD
ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATION
We
celebrated World Environment Day on 5th of June with great
zeal and enthusiasm. The function started with a song sung by the
students. Director Prof. K.V.Satyan inaugurated the programme
ceremonially by planting a sapling in the school campus.
A
group of X standard performed a mime act on the importance and
cleanliness of environment.
On
this occasion, students were given an opportunity to talk impromptu.
Sourav and Vidyasagar of class X were the first two among the
students to talk and as an appreciation, they were rewarded with a
cash prize by the management which was a motivation for others.
The
programme included other activities like :
- Pledge from the students, teachers and non-teaching staff to keep the school a plastic free environment.
- Any member of Hari family celebrating his/her birthday shall plant a sampling in the school premises as a gesture of good will.
- Every Saturday students, teachers and management will involve themselves in cleaning the school campus.
After
a vote of thanks, the students planted the samplings in the campus,
accompanied by the Director, Secretary, Principal and the teachers.
