COLOURFUL AND VIBRANT ATMOSPHERE AT HARI JAATHRE

                  Our ancient culture and tradition needs to be preserved and awareness should be created in the minds of our future generation about the importance of our festivals and celebrations. In this regard, Hari Vidyalaya is doing a commendable job, by organising such an event which is a mirror image of our ancient festivals, opined noted theater and film personality Sri Shivaji Rao jadhav.
      He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating  “ Hari Jaathre “ , a unique event organised by Hari Vidyalaya, Bogadi, Mysore.The main motto of this event was to celebrate the harvest season and the sankranti festival, and provide an opportunity for ladies to exhibit their talents.
      In keeping with the harvest season, the inauguration was done in a most traditional and symbolic manner, with the Pongal kept in a earthern pot boiling and oozing out of the pot, as it is done on the Sankranthi festival day. RJ Avinash, of 92.7 Big FM, was present and enthralled the crowd with his witty remarks, and called upon the students to study without pressurising themselves. Sri Umesh, national level Kho-Kho coach was present. Smt Ramya and Smt Soumya, school staff rendered the invocation.  Sri Srinivas Hosamane, Secretary, Hari Vidyalaya,welcomed the gathering. The guests were honoured by Sri H.R.Bhagawan and Prof K.V.Satyan, Honorary director of Hari Vidyalaya. Sri N.Srivatsa, Principal, Hari Vidyalaya, Smt Purnima, HM, High school section, Smt Lakshmi, HM, Primary section, other Staff members. Students and parents were present.
                     The main highlight of the event was the Rangoli competitions for ladies. A number of stalls which had a wide variety of items including cosmetics , jewelry, herbal products, kundan works, textiles, etc were the main attraction. Foodies thronged the food stalls selling chats, condiments, puliyogare, bakery products, panipuri etc.
                    This event was organised keeping in mind the ongoing festival season, in a bid to promote our rich ancient culture and traditions.
