Celebration of World Environmental Day (College Section)

              Our college (I & II Year) students visited Agasthya Herbal garden, JLB road, Mysuru on 06.06.2019. They were guided by Dr. Sudha M N.
        Dr. Sudha shared few tips about health and hygiene. She also stressed upon World Environment Day 2019 theme, slogan, “Beat Air Pollution”. Importance of plants and its role in bringing down the environmental issues was highlighted. Our Students enjoyed and felt wonder on knowing the herbal plants and its importance. One of the students shared, “We went to herbal Garden where we saw normal available herbal plants also the plants which are grown in northern and southern India. The “kalamegha” plant was inspired all of us which is used for the treatment of diseases of the liver and skin. Students expressed heartfelt thanks to the college and management for arranging the visit to herbal garden.
          After the visit, students participated in collage making contest in the college premises regarding Environment Day.

Orientation Program (PU Section)


Dated: 27.05.2019    
Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents.

         The Programme began with an invocation song seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha followed by lighting the lamp and oath taking ceremony for I PU students. Followed by the introduction of lecturers. Later, the Principal of the College Dr. V. Sharath, highlighted the academic(both Board and Competitive exam) and non-academic Programs which will be conducted throughout the AY 2019-20 in his power point presentation.

         The Academic Director, Prof. K V Satyan, addressed the gathering and spoke about the concept of the art of learning and how to make learning easier. “College life is a bridge from the school life to the world of work” quoted Prof. K V Satyan. Later, our secretary, Sri. Srinivas Hosamane  emphasized on the qualities which the students should acquire during the two year programme. He laid stress on effective communication between teachers and Parents and also sought their support and suggestions so that the best could be done for the overall development of the students. With this entire topic creating a new perspective in our lives, a new chapter closing in our lives, our minds more open than before.
        By the end of the program, the details of study time table, academic and non-academic activities were highlighted.

Mathru Bhojana


           Now a days it is common to see mothers and elders forcibly feeding the children at home but the occasion was totally a different experience in Hari Vidyalaya where children requesting the mothers to serve them food and the food was served in a traditional manner by hand called “Kai Thuthu” to the children who were sitting in groups. The female members of SPYSS placed morsels of food by hand on the palms of the children as was served while having food on a full moon day in open field.
         It was a meaningful and memorable occasion building good human relationships and symbolic of our ancient culture at Hari Vidyalaya, Bogadi, Mysore on the 23rd of April.
      The event was “Maathru Bhojana” organised jointly by Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samsthe (SPYSS), Mysore and Hari Vidyalaya, Bogadi, Mysuru.
         Sri Ravishankar, Pradhana Sanchaalak, Patanjali Yoga shikshana Kendra, Mysuru was the Chief Guest. He stressed the importance of continuing our culture which emphasises on good human relations. Sri. Srinivas Hosamane, Secretary, Hari Vidyalaya presided over the function and thanked the members of SPYSS who introduced the traditional way of serving the food to children to Hari Vidyalaya students.  Other prominent office bearers of SPYSS, Prof K.V.Satyan, Director, Hari Vidyalaya, staff and students of Hari Vidyalaya were present.
